(1) In order to manage the acts of protection, promotion and fulfillment of the right to food, right relating to food security and food sovereignty, a National Food Council shall be formed as prescribed, under the chairpersonship of the Minister of the Government of Nepal, who looks after the matters relating to agriculture.
(2) The functions, duties and powers of the Council shall be as prescribed.
